Steve Jobs on the Cover of Time Magazine, 1982-2011

This is supposed to be be funny, but why is it so? Most probably the humor is in the picture of Steve Jobs sporting a mustache and long, black hair when we are used to seeing a white-bearded bald guy. But then the reference to risk and the arrow that goes from the computer to the apple are an entirely different assertion. Apparently the author of this article in Times magazine though of advance in technology as a risky endeavor. Was Steve Jobs doing something risky when Apple started making computers in the 80’s? If was, then are the scientists that work on the Human Genome or the Physicists that study String Theory also “America’s Risk takers”? I see no risk in it, just an opportunity for fame.
